When descending a steep, off-road slope, the Recon’s standard Hill Descent Control allows you to creep down safely. The Vistiq doesn’t offer Hill Descent Control.

The Jeep Recon’s 360-degree camera is equipped with washers for its front and rear cameras, ensuring crystal-clear visibility in any weather condition. Conversely, the Cadillac Vistiq only offers a rear camera washer, which may not provide the same level of all-weather performance.

Both the Recon and the Vistiq have standard driver and passenger frontal airbags, front side-impact airbags, driver knee airbags, side-impact head airbags, front and rear seatbelt pretensioners, height adjustable front shoulder belts, four-wheel antilock brakes, all-wheel drive, traction control, electronic stability systems to prevent skidding, crash mitigating brakes, daytime running lights, lane departure warning systems, blind spot warning systems, around view monitors, rear cross-path warning and driver alert monitors.

Jeep’s powertrain warranty covers the Recon 2 years and 30,000 miles longer than Cadillac covers the Vistiq. Any repair needed on the engine, transmission, axles, joints or driveshafts is fully covered for 8 years or 100,000 miles. Coverage on the Vistiq ends after only 6 years or 70,000 miles.

There are over 4 times as many Jeep dealers as there are Cadillac dealers, which makes it much easier should you ever need service under the Recon’s warranty.

The Recon’s electric motors produces 35 more horsepower (650 vs. 615) than the Vistiq’s electric motors.

The Recon has a standard locking charge port, which locks and unlocks with the power locks. The Vistiq doesn’t have a locking charge port. A locking charge port prevents tampering and damage.

The Recon has a standard full size spare tire so a flat doesn’t interrupt your trip. A full size spare isn’t available on the Vistiq; it requires you to depend on roadside assistance and your vehicle will have to be towed.

For greater off-road capability the Recon has a 1.9 inches greater minimum ground clearance than the Vistiq (9.1 vs. 7.2 inches), allowing the Recon to travel over rougher terrain without being stopped or damaged.

The Jeep Recon may be more efficient, handle and accelerate better because it weighs about 200 pounds less than the Cadillac Vistiq.
